| The End Of Alternative Comic Strips After careful consideration, I've decided to delete this entry. In regards to the webcomics model, it was poorly thought-out and although it was never meant to insult webcomic artists—whom I have the utmost respect for—it did for which I am truly sorry and have issued a public apology. I'd like to put this conflict to bed and I feel that leaving the entry up only adds fuel to the fire. I appreciate the dialogue this has sparked between myself and the web comics community. I have a much greater understanding of their situation and the unique problems they face which this entry and our discussions have brought to light. One thing is abundantly clear: it doesn't matter if you're a print cartoonist or a web cartoonist, everyone involved is here for the love of comics and we are all trying to find ways to continue to make them for a living. Aaaargh!!! Sorry for missing the bonus comic Wednesday. My internet has been down since Tuesday evening so I haven't been able to post it. The internet company said they'd have it fixed earlier, but still haven't and it might not be fixed until this Tuesday so I'm updating from home. Anyway, I'll shoot for posting the bonus comic this Wednesday (but don't be too disappointed if I'm not able to). Bonus Comic Wednesday Hey party peeps! Come back Wednesday for a bonus color comic! Studio This week's comic was the first done from my brand new studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn! After years of making all my art from home, I finally decided to get some studio space when a friend had an opening in his building. Very exciting! I'll post a few pics when I've got my space more together. Right now I'm still in the process of getting all moved in. Happy 2009! Happy New Year! I just want to say a quick "thanks" to all my readers for coming back week after week. I hope you enjoyed the last year's worth of comics and continue to enjoy this year's batch. Here's to 2009! |
