After Turkey Day, I'll be spending a couple of weeks doing character layout for my friend, Devin Clark's Ugly Americans pilot for Comedy Central. Like Superjail!, this is also being animated through Augenblick Studios.

Society of Illustrators / Comix Reading

I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be one of the judges in the sequential category this year for The Society of Illustrators' 51st Annual. I'll be spending all day Monday (tomorrow) with the other jurors picking out entries to put into the book.

Next week on the 19th, I'll be taking part in comedian Liam McEneaney's Writing and Music, a fun reading series by comedians that's set to the backdrop of live improvised jazz:

* Todd Levin - has been published in Salon, The Onion, Modern Humorist, Glamour, Esquire, and Radar. His reading show, 'How to Kick People,' was produced at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen.

* Neil Swaab - writes and illustrates the cult favorite comic strip, 'Rehabilitating Mr. Wiggles,' which has been collected into three books and has been translated into several languages around the world. Recently, Neil illustrated his first book for young readers, 'Yet Another NastyBook,' published by HarperCollins

And the band, Evan Silverman's Jazzhole. Silverman is a professional musician who has toured opening for such acts as Bob Dylan and Echo & the Bunnymen.
